At Professor Rajendra Singh Science Exploratory (PRSSE), we believe science is more than a subject — it is a way of understanding and exploring the world. Established in 2015, PRSSE provides hands-on learning experiences across Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Astronomy, Mathematics, and Design Thinking. Unlike traditional methods focused on predefined outcomes, our exploratory approach encourages students to think critically, ask questions, and participate in open-ended scientific investigations. This helps develop deeper conceptual understanding, curiosity, creativity, and a spirit of inquiry.
Our dedicated team of trainers, advisors, and experts works to create an engaging and intellectually stimulating environment for students of all interests and skill levels. Whether a budding scientist or an enthusiastic learner, every student finds opportunities to explore and grow through practical scientific experiences. Rajendra Singhji, popularly known as Rajju Bhaiyya, was a distinguished physicist, educator, and former RSS Sarsanghchalak. Born in 1922 in a village in Uttar Pradesh, he studied Physics at the University of Allahabad and later served there as a professor from 1945 to 1965, eventually becoming Head of the Physics Department. A specialist in spectroscopy and nuclear physics, he was widely admired for explaining complex scientific concepts with remarkable simplicity and clarity.
During his MSc practical examination, Nobel laureate C. V. Raman praised him as one of the clearest and most practical students he had ever examined after Singh scored a perfect 100 marks. Although invited by Raman to join him in Bengaluru, Singh chose to continue teaching and researching at Allahabad University under his guru. He later served as RSS Sarsanghchalak from 1994 to 2000 and passed away in Pune in 2003.
The exploratory has three separate laboratories and a classroom spanning a built-up area of 4500 sq. ft. The laboratories have modern exhibits and equipment to conduct hands-on experiments in Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Electronics, Mathematics, and Biology. Additionally, there is an open space for sky-watching and astronomy events. Exploratory also has an ICT-enabled classroom and a wide collection of books on science and mathematics.
Equipped with advanced scientific instrumentation including some setups of International Science Olympiads and cutting-edge laboratory equipment, exploratory provides unmatched opportunities for hands-on scientific exploration beyond the classroom. These equipment help students to work as a researcher, get involved in collaborative projects, and develop creativity and problem-solving skills that go far beyond the lab. With the existing infrastructure, students can discover the depths of science and unlock opportunities for a lifetime of learning.
